For more than 75 years, Fulbright Teacher Exchanges, part of the family of offerings within the Fulbright Program, have offered opportunities for educators to learn, teach, consult, observe, and collaborate in classrooms and schools abroad. Educators foster mutual understanding in their communities, prepare students for the globalized, interconnected world, and increase their students’ critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Fulbright Teacher Exchanges are open to primary and secondary (K–12) educators, including teachers, library media specialists, counselors and others. Programs are also available to principals and education leaders on occasion. Eligibility requirements are specified on the program detail pages.

Fulbright's 75th Anniversary

2021 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Fulbright Program. Celebrations throughout the year will highlight the impressive accomplishments and legacy of the program and its alumni over its first 75 years, both in the United States and around the world. A dedicated 75th anniversary website will be updated throughout 2021 to showcase anniversary events and to facilitate ongoing engagement.
